Bad News as Amason Kingi Reveals the Region That Will Suffer Most if Ruto Loses His Re-election Bid

Senate Speaker Amason Kingi has urged leaders and residents from the Coast region to remain firmly behind President William Ruto ahead of the 2027 General Election, warning that the region risks losing political influence if it falls out with the current administration.

Speaking during a political meeting at the Coast, Kingi said the region is enjoying increased influence in government for the first time in many years under the Kenya Kwanza administration. He noted that the Coast has benefited from key government appointments and development projects, making it important for residents to safeguard their current political position by supporting Ruto’s leadership.

The Senate Speaker argued that losing political alignment with the ruling government could weaken the Coast’s bargaining power and reduce its influence in national affairs. He further warned that if, “by bad luck,” Ruto fails to retain the presidency in 2027, the consequences would extend beyond the Head of State and significantly affect the Coast region politically and economically.

Kingi’s remarks quickly sparked debate online, with supporters defending his statement as practical political advice aimed at protecting regional interests, while critics accused him of using fear to rally support for the ruling coalition.
