During an emotional burial ceremony for the late Christopher Onsongo—a respected neighbour and longtime friend—held at Kapkures, aspiring Nakuru West MP Hon. Robinas Makana made a bold declaration that resonated with residents. He lamented the poor state of roads in Kapkures and Baruti, describing them as a disgrace and a sign of neglect by current leadership.
“Barabara za Kapkures na Baruti ni aibu” Makana proclaimed passionately, promising that if elected in 2027, his first priority will be to restore dignity through infrastructure development, starting with roads that connect people, businesses, and essential services.
Makana used the platform not only to pay tribute to the late Onsongo but also to call for transformative leadership focused on results, not rhetoric. He highlighted the challenges residents have endured for years—inaccessibility, and economic stagnation—emphasizing that enough is enough.
“What we need is leadership that listens, plans, and acts,” he said. “In 2027, I’m coming in not just to occupy an office but to work.”
In support for Makana’s vision, chants of “Jembe Mpya!” in unison— is a sign that the winds of change could be blowing through Nakuru West.
Makana’s message was clear: the time for empty promises is over. Nakuru West deserves better roads, better services, and better leadership—and he’s ready to deliver.
