The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced the recruitment of 2,014 teachers to fill vacancies left by those who exited the service through natural attrition. The replacement positions are distributed across public primary, junior, and secondary schools nationwide.
According to a statement from the Commission, the vacancies comprise 1,309 positions for primary schools, 32 for junior secondary schools, and 673 for secondary schools. The newly recruited teachers will be engaged on permanent and pensionable terms.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be Kenyan citizens and registered teachers with the TSC. Candidates applying for primary school positions must hold a P1 certificate, while those applying for junior and secondary school positions must possess a diploma in education.
Applications are to be submitted online via the TSC portal at [www.tsc.go.ke](http://www.tsc.go.ke) or [teachersonline.tsc.go.ke](http://teachersonline.tsc.go.ke).
The deadline for submission is Monday, 19th May 2025 at midnight. No manual applications will be accepted.
The Commission emphasized that applicants who have never been previously employed by the TSC will be given priority. Additionally, submitting more than one application form will result in automatic disqualification.
TSC further advised that shortlisted candidates will be required to present original academic and professional documents during interviews. The recruitment process will be guided by the Teachers Service Commission Recruitment Guidelines for the 2024/2025 Financial Year.
