The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) on Monday, October 27, confirmed that the 2025 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) officially kicked off across the country this morning.

The two national assessments are running concurrently with the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations, which are currently in their second week.

According to KNEC guidelines, containers holding examination papers for KPSEA and KJSEA were opened at 6:00 a.m., while those for KCSE are set to be opened an hour later, at 7:00 a.m., in all examination centers nationwide.

Additionally, all mobile phones belonging to examination personnel are required to be locked away, with the keys kept under the custody of the examination supervisor throughout the assessment period.

The council reiterated its commitment to ensuring credible, fair, and smooth administration of the national examinations across all counties.
