Denis Oseko—affectionately known to many as High Court—was a TikTok luminary whose gentle counsel and dignified composure endeared him to thousands. The Kisii-born content creator was widely admired for offering thoughtful guidance on social and political issues, and for projecting strength even amid personal struggles.

Early Life and Local Influence

Oseko hailed from Kisii County and carved out a reputation not just as an online presence but as a grassroots influencer. He wore multiple hats—as a businessman, political commentator, and podcast host—engaging his audience in conversations about governance, social affairs, and community upliftment.

Rise to Internet Prominence

His thoughtful delivery and authenticity resonated deeply, earning him a loyal following across TikTok and Facebook. He was particularly known for wearing his struggles with quiet resilience, offering inspiration through vulnerability and grace.

Final Days and Farewell

On August 19, 2025, Oseko posted a brief—but ominous—message on Facebook, simply writing: “Not well.” Unbeknownst to him, that would become his final public gesture.

That same day, he engaged in a TikTok live session, further highlighting how abruptly life can change and leaving viewers stunned by the suddenness of it all.

According to additional reporting, Oseko began experiencing symptoms such as headache and chills. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment, but his condition deteriorated rapidly, and he passed away on August 22, 2025, while undergoing care. No official cause of death has been announced, and his family has maintained privacy around that detail.

Outpouring of Grief and Tributes

The news of his passing unleashed a wave of grief across social media. Tributes poured in from friends, fans, and public figures alike:

  • Sammy Ondimu Ngare, a police officer and blogger, mourned the loss, calling Denis a brother and reflecting on life’s fragility. He shared, “Life is short—let’s love one another while we still can”

  • Senator Essy Okenyuri expressed profound sadness, describing Oseko as a man of principle who passionately stood by her causes. She lamented the profound void his loss.

  • Actress Gloria Moraa recalled a recent pleasant encounter with him in Kisii, where they conversed about politics and life, only to look online soon after and learn he had passed.

Countless fans shared lamenting messages and remembering Oseko’s warmth and wisdom:

“It forced me to go through the last chats I had with you… full of promises. I didn’t know it was the last conversation… It will never be well, bro. My heart is deserted.”
“And just like that, you are no more. Rest in peace.”
“Life is truly unpredictable.”

Legacy and Remembrance

Though his time was cut short, Denis Oseko left an indelible mark on Kenyan digital culture. His voice offered clarity in crowded online spaces, his demeanor earned trust, and his presence uplifted many.
