President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government is facing bold attack, two years to general election. The former Cabinet secretary of Education Ezekiel Machogu has expressed his anger in public against his former boss William Ruto.
Addressing Mourners during the burial ceremony of Ex legislator Catherine Nyamoto on Friday 9 August 2025 in Nyamira, Machogu blamed President William Ruto for chasing him from the government, citing that Ruto is a liar and and is leading Kenyans to the wrong direction.
Machogu dismissed Kenya Kwanza’s hustler move of a wheelbarrow, claiming that it has broken and no longer in operation. Machogu alleged that William Ruto isn’t a man to keep and shouldn’t be considered in the 2027 general election.
“Our People, can I tell you the secret, can I tell you the secret, listen. The Wheelbarrow is Broken, absolutely broken. It’s not functional, ” Ex Education CS Ezekiel Machogu said
Other Gusii leaders that were formerly affiliated to William Ruto, including former West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi deconstructed President Ruto and expressed their support to Presidential candidate Fred Matiang’i. Kemosi said that Kenya Kwanza government has failed and it’s the time it should exit from stage.
The Notable Gusii Leaders including Former Kisii County Senator Sam Ongeri, Former Borabu MP Ben Mogaka among others urged Gusii community to back up their son Fred Matiang’i in his presidential bid to ouster William Ruto in 2027.
The Gusii leaders said that they will discuss with other Gusii elders to convince Former Chief Justice David Maraga to drop his presidential bid for the benefit of Matiang’i. However, Maraga said, he’s holding his presidential bid, seeking support from his community.
While addressing, Former Education CS Machogu said that President William Ruto has no interest of Gusii Community in his heart, citing that he has not given the Kisii people big space in the government compared to the former regime.
