The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has issued a public notice cautioning the public against fraudulent use of its identity on social media platforms. According to the statement, KUCCPS has identified a fake Facebook page operating under the name “Kuccps News,” which is falsely impersonating the agency.
KUCCPS has categorically disassociated itself from this page and warned the public that anyone engaging with such pages or their operators does so at their own risk. The agency emphasized that it does not take responsibility for any misinformation shared on unofficial platforms.
Members of the public who may have been misled or fallen victim to fraudulent social media users impersonating KUCCPS are advised to report the incidents to the police.
The statement further underlines that the acronym “KUCCPS” forms part of the organization’s core identity and intellectual property. Unauthorized use of its name or branding is not only misleading but also constitutes a legal violation.
To ensure authenticity, KUCCPS listed its official online platforms which include;
Facebook: @The.Placement.Service
Instagram: @official\_kuccps
X (formerly Twitter): @KUCCPS\_Official
LinkedIn: Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service
YouTube: @KUCCPSChannel
Website: [www.kuccps.ac.ke](http://www.kuccps.ac.ke)
