KUCCPS Announces 2025 University and College Students Transfer Window Opening

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially announced the opening of the 2025 inter-institutional transfer application window. The process allows students who were placed in various universities and colleges across the country to apply for a transfer to a different institution of their choice.

According to the notice shared by KUCCPS, the application is strictly online and must be done via the student portal: students.kuccps.net. The application window is open and will close on 24th August 2025, giving students ample time to prepare and submit their requests.

This annual transfer opportunity is intended to accommodate students who, for various reasons—such as medical issues, financial constraints, or change in academic interests—wish to study in a different institution from the one they were initially placed in.

To qualify for the transfer, students must meet the minimum course requirements in the institution they wish to transfer to. The process also involves approvals from both the releasing and receiving institutions, ensuring that all parties are in agreement before the transfer is finalized.

KUCCPS has urged applicants to ensure they follow the guidelines provided on the portal and avoid last-minute applications to avoid technical delays. They have also provided official contact lines and social media platforms for assistance.

This move underscores KUCCPS’s commitment to aligning students with careers and institutions that best match their qualifications and personal needs. For more information and continuous updates, students are encouraged to follow KUCCPS on their official platforms or reach out via email at [email protected].

The inter-institutional transfer is a key opportunity for students to adjust their academic journey to better suit their aspirations and circumstances.
