President William Ruto has issued a stern warning against individuals and groups engaging in violent acts against Kenyans, police officers, public institutions, and businesses. Speaking in Dagoretti North, Nairobi, the Head of State condemned such acts as terrorism and a direct threat to the stability of the nation.

“Those who attack Kenyans, police officers, security installations and businesses are terrorists. Such criminal acts are a declaration of war,” President Ruto said.

The president made the statement while overseeing the progress of the construction of 540 housing units for police officers at the Kilimani Police Station in Nairobi. The project is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance the welfare of security personnel through decent and affordable housing.

President Ruto emphasized that his administration will not tolerate any form of lawlessness or violent attempts to destabilize the country. He called out individuals and groups who, according to him, are using retrogressive means and violence as shortcuts to gain political power.

“We will not allow our country to be destroyed by retrogressive elements that are seeking shortcuts to rise to power. Enough is enough!” he declared.

The president’s remarks come amid recent concerns over public safety and the rise in acts of violence that have targeted security installations and disrupted public order. His strong condemnation sends a clear message that the government is committed to safeguarding peace, stability, and the rule of law.

In addition to addressing security concerns, President Ruto’s visit highlighted the government’s commitment to improving the living conditions of police officers. The housing project at Kilimani Police Station is part of a larger national program aimed at motivating security personnel by providing them with modern, safe, and dignified residences.

The president noted that the provision of adequate housing would boost morale, improve efficiency, and enable the police force to serve the public more effectively.

“We want our officers to live in dignified conditions. This project will ensure that our men and women in uniform are well housed, and this will go a long way in improving service delivery,” said Ruto.

The Kilimani Police Station housing project is expected to be completed within schedule, and the president expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of the work being done.

As the country continues to face socio-political and security challenges, the president’s firm stance reaffirms the government’s resolve to maintain law and order, protect citizens, and support the institutions that uphold the nation’s peace.
