The cabinet secretary of Interior security and coordination Dr Fred Matiang’i has Decleared Friday 31st July 2020 as a public holiday in the republic of Kenya for Idd-ul- Asha. This is a special celebration for Muslims across the world.
Idd-ul-Azha is also known as Rid Qurban an Islamic holiday celebrated worldwide for every Year. It began on Thursday 30 July evening and ends at 31st July 2020 at evening. It’s done in honor and willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ismael as well as an action of being obedient to the commandment of God.
“Friday, 31st July, 2020 has been designated as a Public Holiday of General Observance throughout the territory of the Republic of Kenya in celebration of Idd-ul-Azha,” Ministry of Interior penned
In a statement, The CS Of interior Security and Coordination Fred Matiang’i asserted that Friday 31st July 2020 will be a special day for Muslims in the republic of Kenya.
