What! Arsenal Sets Another History In The London Derby

Arsenal have became the first team to score 3+ goals against Chelsea since the arrival of their superb shot stopper Edouard Mendy from Rennes this season, replacing the struggled Kepa Arrizabalaga.  Arsenal have picked their first win since beating Manchester United 1-0 on 1st November this year at Old Traford Stadium.

It has not been a easy season for Arsenal since they have not win in their last 8 premier league games.The first goal was scored from penalty spot by Alexandre Lacazette after Recce James tackles Kieran Tierney inside their box awarding Arsenal’s penalty after VAR intervened.

Their second goal was scored by Granit Xhaka. Granit has been the first Arsenal player to score direct free kick versus chelsea in the Premier League since Thiery Henry did so in December 2004. Granit Xhaka has only been surpassed by Thiery Henry (12), Alexis Sánchez and Robin Van Persie both have scored 5 direct free kick for Arsenal.

Their third goal come from brilliant chip from Bukayo Saka. Saka chipped toward the top left corner leaving the goalkeeper helpless. Lacazette was close to score his 2nd goal and 4th for Arsenal in the 84th minute but goalkeeper Edouard Mendy make an amazing super save.

Chelsea were able to score their only goal from Tammy Abraham. Chelsea had got the opportunity to add another goal through penalty kick, but Arsenal goalkeeper Benard Leno was able to save the spot kick from Jorginho. This is the second penalty being missed by Jorginho this season.

Arsenal are currently sitting on 14th position while chelsea who are still eyeing top four are currently 7th with only 2 points to be on top four
