A controversial photo from Ida’s birthday party has emerged and trending online. The photo is an evidence that the event was attended by a section of several great leaders of this country, some of whom are believed to be the ‘Deep State’, which happens to be the new vocabulary in the political arena in our country.

Among the attendees, is the embattled Governor of Kirinyaga Anne Waiguru, Homa Bay woman representative Gladys Wanga, former Nyeri Woman Rep Priscillah Nyokabi, former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, Wajir’s Fatma Gedi, Raila’s brother Oburu Odinga and Jubilee Vice chair David Murathe among others.

At the celebrations, there was singing and dancing and many leaders shook their bodies as they shared a special cake prepared to mark Ida’s 70th birthday.

As usual, in events such as this, photoshoot is always a great part of the memories and the epitome of the celebrations.

After the celebration, the attended leaders spent a moment taking photos and when a leader of great magnitude like Raila is in attendance, no one wants to be left behind for a photo around him.

However in one of the photos, former premier and Ida’s husband Raila, is captured with his palm placed on Nyokabi’s leg as they pose for the photo.

Of course they could have probably just been posing innocently to capture the great moment together but with kenyans who live online and their addiction for reading too much into things, this small thing has just grown into a debate and sparked kind of a mixed reaction.

Netizens are always known for their hawk-eyed habit which usually end up revealing and uncovering even the deepest hidden secrets especially when a popular person is involved.
