The senator of Siaya and the Minority leader in the Sanate James Orengo has paused whether justice was done over Waiguru’s Impeachment Case that was dealt with the committee of senators. Governor Anne Waiguru had Impeached by Kirinyaga County Assembly Members over the allegations of gross misconduct, abuse of Office and disrespect of rule of law.
The committe of senators was selected to deal with Waiguru’s Impeachment Case that has finally came to the conclusion that Governor Waiguru should be in office. It’s reportedly that the evidence submitted by Kirinyaga county assembly Members wasn’t supportive and Waiguru has been set free.
However, speaking to the matter, the senator of Siaya James Orengo has asserted that the county assembly of Kirinyaga should not be Accused for their decision and assured the people of Kirinyaga county that what the senate has done is within the law. Orengo Further added that no one will deny the county assembly of Kirinyaga to carry on their oversight role.
Senator Orengo further affirmed that the senators should ask themselves whether they have done justice on the matter. Orengo said justice Should be done by the Senate whenever they are dealing with Impeachment cases.
“We should ask ourselves whether we have done justice,,,We cannot accuse the county assembly,,,,I assure the people of Kirinyaga that what the senate has done is within the law. No one will deny the county assembly of Kirinyaga to carry on its oversight role,” senator Orengo affirmed.
