Victory For Ruto After Mt Kenya Political Leaders Latest Stand Off

The deputy president William Ruto is a very troubled man after the handshake that happened between the president and the former prime Minister Raila Odinga.
The pact between the former primer caused panic among Ruto Allied members of parliament and other Mount Kenya Political heavy weight behind the deputy president.
However, in what happens to be a sign of hope to the deputy president William Ruto Mount Kenya Political leaders are divided on who to choose as the region’s spokesperson who will negotiate for them at the building bridges negotiating table.
There is one group that is behind Peter Kenneth whereas there is another team that is led by powerful cabinet secretaries such as Mutahi Kagwe and Macharia.
During the weekend a meeting was held Senator Njeru Ndwiga whose political reason was not lost on observers. Among those present was Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe — one of those viewed as a possible Mt Kenya spokesman as the hunt for Uhuru Kenyatta’s successor gathers pace. Others are governors Kiraitu Murungi (Meru), Francis Kimemia (Nyandarua), Mutahi Kahiga (Nyeri), Martin Wambora of Embu and Kipipiri MP Amos Kimunya.
This comes as leaders from Murang’a led by Irungu Kang’ata have continued to rally their solid support for the former Gatanga Member of Parliament Peter Kenneth to be region’s Spokesperson.
The Deputy President William Ruto is likely to benefit if the two teams fail to reach at a concesus as he will team up with one of the teams to emerge victory in the 2022 presidential election.
