United beat Liverpool to Move Closer to an FA Cup

Manchester United narrowly beat bitter rivals Liverpool to move closer to the Emirates FA Cup. According to Goal on Sunday January 24, the Red Devils beat the Reds 3-2 to move to the next round of the competition.

Liverpool ace Mohammed Salah was the first on the score sheet as he got his goal in the 18th minute. The lead did not last long as Manchester United prodigy Mason Greenwood drew them level in the 26th minute.

Marcus Rashford took Manchester United ahead in the 48th minute with a sumptuous strike. This was, however, replied with Mohammed Salah getting his second goal of the game in the 58th minute.

Bruno Fernandes, who came on in the second half, pulled the final shot as he scored in the 78th minute. This goal was enough to give the bragging rights to Manchester United.

Other results in the competition had Arsenal lose 1-0 to Southampton in a surprising upset. Chelsea on the other hand won 3-1 at Lutton Town.

Manchester City struggled but finally beat Cheltenham 3-1. Everton were 3-0 winners over Sheffield Wednesday.
