Uhuru’s Govt Clears Air On Ruto’s Major Scandal

Deputy president Dr William Ruto’s had suffered criticism over allegedly going against the procurement laws in hiring a private jet.

Ruto actually used the chopper to campaign against the international criminal court case between him and the president Uhuru Kenyatta.

The Ethics and the anti-corruption commission (EACC) had raised alarm concerning the probe against the deputy president Dr William Ruto.

Details from the investigation Indicated that the luxurious chopper costed Ksh 100 Million taxpayers to travel to Algeria, Nigeria, Gabon, Ghana and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

After the 2013 launch of Investigation against the deputy president Dr William Ruto, the EACC cleared the deputy president from the charges against him.

EACC affirmed that the money which was under investigation was Ksh 18.6 Million and the plane that was used was Bombardier 850 Challenge.

A Gazette Notice published on Friday, January 22, indicated that there was no loss of public funds in the whole process of procurement.

The report outlined further that no person from the office of the deputy president Dr William Ruto illegally benefited from the scandal.

The message sent from EACC from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP) under Noordin Haji affirmed that Ruto should be cleared from the case.
