President Uhuru Kenyatta has extended the ongoing curfew for further 30days to help curb the spread of the Corona Virus.

He has warned bar owners that those who don’t follow the rules will have their licences revoked.
He has congratulated the law enforcement for the hard work they have done in ensuring Kenyans follow the curfew guidelines.
He has further added that Media have the freedom to report about the pandemic as Kenya is a democratic nation.
He has urged Kenyans to abide by the rules and follow directives given by the Government and Ministry of Health and to report the people who don’t follow the rules.
He urged Kenyans not to compare the country to other countries because each country was hit by the pandemic and should not be in a hurry for re-opening of the economy sector.
He said that some countries have suffered more than us but are not speaking up.
He further implied that this is not a competition between the national government and county governments or between the county governments but it’s all about survival.
He said that the Education CS will soon address the nation on how the learning institutions will be reopened.
He said that these are abnormal times globally hence we should focus on survival.
The President was expected to lockdown the hotspots but he has failed to do so urging Kenyans to be responsible and protect themselves and their families.
He has warned that deaths caused by Corona will continue to be witnessed and suggested that we be responsible.
This is the 10th address since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
This comes after his meeting with the Council of Governors today to discuss the level of preparedness per county.
