Ugandan opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine was earlier this morning attacked at his home. While speaking to Hot 96 Radio station in Kenya on Tuesday January 12, 2021, Kyagulanyi mentioned that police from the government were approaching his gate.

“I can see police outside my home attacking the guards. I have to cut the interview short to go and check on them,” he reported as he ended the interview.

Bobi Wine was on an interview via phone call with the Royal Media Service owned radio station on its breakfast show. It was, however, mentioned that the government had gotten wind of the interview and that is why they intervened.

The musician has been a force to reckon with as he continues to drive his election campaign against long term president Yoweri Museveni.

His identity with the new generation has been giving Museveni sleepless nights. Late in December of 2020, Bobi Wine’s motorcade was attacked leaving one of his bodyguards dead.

The constant attacks on his election campaigns by the government have been in motion ever since he declared interest in the top seat.
