Sentiments by outspoken former Jubilee vice chair David Murathe that Kenyans should prepare for the leadership of former prime minister Raila Odinga has continued to attract comments and views. After Atwoli seconding it, now Kieleweke leader Maina Kamanda has dropped the bombshell and endorsed Baringo senator Gideon Moi for the next general elections.
According to Kamanda, Gideon is politically experienced and has the skills he has inherited from his father the late mzee Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi.Gideon is the current Baringo senator and has not stated whether he will be on the ballot or not but his allies have his name on the ballot. The KANU party leader has been holding closed door meetings in his home and now Kamanda has revealed his confidence in him.
As reported by the Daily statesman, the Kieleweke man has said that Baringo county is enjoying the good leadership of Moi and thus is coveted by other counties. He said that the nation needs such a hardworking leader who can transform the country and not thieves who misuse public funds.
“Today Baringo County is among the best counties in the Republic because the senator is a good leader. We need such a leader to transform the country and not thieves,” said Kamanda.
Different people have had their opinions regarding their 2022 elections preferred choice.ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi has been endorsed by his party to lead them into any political affiliations. Raila is also still ODM’s candidate and Jubilee is the divided party as the dp is ready to vie but he lacks the assurance of the president’s support.
Division  continues to widen in the Jubilee party as now Murathe and Kamanda who were both supporting the BBI and handshake differ. The Kieleweke man has shown that his aide is backing Moi while Murathe’s side supporting Raila. These leaves the dp hanging and has only to depend on his close allies and not the jubilee party.  KANU formed a coalition with Jubilee and thus threatens dp’s bid for their are little chances of him being endorsed the party.
