Tough Days For Raila And Ruto, A More Powerful Coalition To Be Formed Ahead Of 2022

For a long time the Kenyan politics has had a two house race where the ruling party squarely battles with the main opposition party.

In 2007 Former president Mwai Kibaki(PNU)contested with Raila, 2013 Raila’s ODM faced off with Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee party which happened again in 2017 general elections.

Raila Odinga did not accept the results of the general elections which made him to move to the supreme court, unhappy of the outcome of the elections after the second round, Raila Odinga resolved to organize nationalwide protests and dividing the country.

The handshake between president Uhuru Kenyatta and former prime minister Raila Odinga divided Jubilee party thus Ruto side resolved to run a parallel team.

Deputy President Dr Ruto was barred from accessing the Jubilee headquarters.
The 2022 presidential elections are expected to be different as big parties continue to merge the countrywide in preparation for the big contest.

Yesterday during a political rally at Machakos town declarations concerning a coalition bringing together Kanu, Wiper, ANC and Ford Kenya parties were made.

The Party leaders Gideon Moi (Kanu), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Moses Wetang’ula (Ford Kenya) came together to drum up support for the Wiper Party candidate Agnes Kavindu Muthama.

This came as Ruto allied party United Development Movement which is backed by the former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama Intensified their campaigns.
