Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has praised Mombasa County Governor Hassan Joho for his effort he is embracing towards combating COVID-19 spread in Mombasa county. Mutahi Kagwe further thanked governor Joho for emphasizing COVID-19 preventive measures and encouraging Mombasa people to adhere to stipulated COVID-19 laws and directives.
This comes after Mutahi Kagwe announced the new COVID-19 cases reported in the country on Tuesday 19, May 2020. According to CS Mutahi, Kenya records 51 new cases that add up to 963 cases in the entire country. He also said that 22 people recovered from COVID-19.
In his speech, Kagwe highlighted that the government is embracing its effort to limit the spread of Covid-19 in the country. He further affirmed that they closed the Kenya-Tanzania border to avoid COVID-19 spread by the people coming from Tanzania who are COVID-19 positive. Mutahi said that Nairobi records high COVID-19 cases with 470 cases. He further advised Kenyans to stay at home to limit COVID-19 spread.
