Senator Sakaja To Appear Before Court On Tuesday, Deposited A Cash Bail Of Ksh 10,000

Nairobi Senator, Johnson Sakaja has presented himself at Kilimani Police Station for violating the ongoing curfew over the weekend.
He was accompanied by his lawyers John Khaminwa and Mutula Kilonzo Jr.
Addressing the journalists outside the police station, Mr Sakaja said he took the initiative for violating the curfew guidelines and announced his resignation from the Senate Covid-19 Committee.
“I will abide by the law,no one is above the law.The law applies to me like any other Kenyan,”he said.

Dr. Khaminwa said that his client has already deposited Sh.10,000 cash bail.
The Senator is expected to appear in court tomorrow (Tuesday).
The Senator is yet to be charged.
He has urged Kenyans to abide by the Covid-19 directives set up by the Government.
