Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata was impeached from his position as the majority Senate Whip at the Senate last week.

This came after a meeting that brought together Senators at KICC to deliberate on the fate Kang’ata in the Senate.

Jubilee Secretary general Raphael Tuju remarked that the leader was stripped off his position for failing to keep the secrets of the party and lacking decorum.

Kang’ata while addressing the members of the press in the company of Ruto allied Senators said that the former prime minister Raila Odinga is behind his misery.

In an interview with KTN news, the Murang’a Senator pointed fingers at two leaders who he suspects might have leaked out the letter.
The Senator said that the letter did not go directly to the president but it passed through the Majority leader at the Senate Samuel Poghisio and Jubilee party Secretary general Raphael Tuju.

He bitterly remarked that one of two people could have revealed the contents of the letter to the public.

Immediately after he was removed from his position he quickly joined Ruto’s camp where he sought refuge.
