The Education Cabinet secretary Professor George Magoha held a breakfast meeting with the journalists where he gave his perspective concerning the re-opened of schools and the safety of the students amidst the Corona virus pandemic.

He addresssed the measures that they have put in place to ensure that the students and the teachers are protected during the pandemic.

Magoha announced that they have set aside Ksh 4 Billion for the Secondary school NHIF medical scheme and they should be appreciated because of what they have done.

” Don’t you think the gov’t is doing what it should to our beloved children? Including a medical scheme for all children in secondary school covered by NHIF at Ksh.4 billion. Give credit to gov’t where it’s deserved,” Prof. George Magoha, CS, Education remarked.

He was annoyed with one of the print media stations that showed the Cabinet secretary driving a that did not have wheels.

“Today in one of the print media, I don’t mind the cartoons, but I’m supposed to be fueling a bus without wheels & it is full of children. Are you being fair? Because it’s like gov’t doesn’t know what it is doing, we’re groping around.” Education CS Magoha said.
