President Uhuru Kenyatta addressed Kenyans on the 4th of November concerning Various measures put in place to curb the spread of the Corona virus pandemic.

Uhuru directed all CSs, CASs and PSs to scale down all in-person engagements within gov’t and to take steps to foster discharge of their mandate, and that of their officers, through virtual means.

He insisted that directions governing religious gatherings shall remain unchanged as any indoor religious gathering other than for the purpose of a wedding or funeral shall have no more than one-third of its normal seating capacity occupied at a given sitting.

Uhuru Kenyatta announced that with respect to the examination, classes that have resumed learning.
He direct that they continue learning and exam preparations made under heightened health safety measures.
However for the basic education classes they will resume for the in-person learning in January 2021.

The President asserted, ” To protect gov’t staffers, all state and public officers aged above 58 years and those who are immuno-compromised to work remotely with the exemption of those serving in critical sectors.”
