The launch of the building bridges initiative at Bomas Kenya attracted Mixed reactions from leaders from all sides of the political divide.

Deputy president Dr William Ruto insisted that the report should be amended and rectified so as to represent the voice of the common Mwananchi in the society.

Leaders in Support of the handshake between the president Uhuru Kenyatta and the former prime minister Raila Odinga have maintained their stand that Dr William Ruto wasted his opportunity.

For the past two months the Deputy President has made endless tours to the Kisii region to garner support for his future political aspirations ahead of the 2022 elections.

Kisii county deputy governor Joash Maangi and Hon Silvanus Osoro have been the leaders who have made in roads for the deputy president Dr William Ruto at the Gusii region.


Ruto Suffered a big setback today as his strong supporter Joash Maangi pledged alligence to the Building bridges initiative
Joash Maangi while addressing the media he said, ” I support the BBI because it encourages inclusivity and nulifies the winner takes all narrative.”
“If Raila win the 2022 elections, Ruto will become the official opposition leader and he will create a shadow cabinet which will make him not cause chaos in the government,” Maangi remarked.
