Nominated Senators Millicent Omanga and Isaac Mwaura were today officially expelled from Jubilee Party. According to a statement to the press on Monday February 8, the party expelled the two among others.

A total of 6 senators were expelled in the letter signed by the Secretary General Raphael Tuju. The other four include Senators Mary Yiane, Prengei Victor, Iman Faldaha Dekow, and Waqo Naomi Jilo.

The press statement revealed that the six had violated the party’s discipline and we’re expelled on grounds of not respecting the party.

Raphael Tuju noted that the disciplinary committee had gone over cases presented before them since last year and had reached that verdict.

He also mentioned that the senators had gone against the party’s mandate and therefore were no longer part of it.

Tuju also said that the mentioned senators had their right to appeal if they saw that the party was wrong in expelling them.

The six senators are allied to Deputy President William Ruto and this shows that the party is certainly cleaning house.
