President Uhuru Kenyatta has today 6th June 2020 addressed the state over covid-19 pandemic affecting the country at State House in Nairobi. In his state address president Uhuru extended the lockdown for another 30 days.
Uhuru asserted that the government of Kenya is employing measures to combat the spread of covid-19 in the country and he further affirmed that the government of Kenya has set aside the funds to cater for vulnerable families during this pandemic affecting the country.
Uhuru said the government spend Ksh 300,000 per week to assist the vulnerable families. He stated that the government is distributing funds to each county to help fight the deadly virus covid-19. He urged Kenyans to Cooperate and adhere to containment measures for the prevention of the virus. However, It has been a great disappointment to many Kenyans who expected the curfew to end Today on 6th of June 2020.
However, the covid-19 cases in the country are increasing drastically. President Uhuru further affirmed that the ministry of health is in coordination with the ministry of education and the Education Institutions shall be opened in September 2020. The curfew shall commence at 9.00pm and end at 4.00am in the morning.
