Rest In Peace: Matiang’i In Deep Sorrow, Death Hits Kisii Land Again

The national assembly Speaker Justin Muturi was the first person to break the news concerning the death of Bonchari Mp John Oroo Oyioka.

He said Hon. Oyioka, who was serving his first term, was an active Member of the Departmental Committee on Education, Research and Technology and will be remembered for his advocacy towards improved quality of education in the country.

“It is sadly another dark moment for us as a Parliamentary fraternity.Very sad to learn this evening that we have lost the Member of Parliament for Bonchari Constituency, the Hon. John Oroo Oyioka. My heartfelt condolences to the family & friends of the distinguished lawmaker,” Muturi said.

President Uhuru Kenyatta eulogised Bonchari Member of Parliament John Oroo Oyioka who passed away on Monday as an accomplished educator and determined legislator.
The interior Security Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i mourned Oyioka and condoled with the family.

“Very sad about the demise of Hon. John Oroo Oyioka, MP Bonchari. Our thoughts are with his family and the decent, peaceful people of Bonchari,” Matiang’i said on Twitter.

Oyioka’s death comes after leaders mourned the demise of Simeon Nyachae yesterday at Gusii stadium.

Although the President Uhuru Kenyatta, deputy president Dr William Ruto and the former prime minister Raila Odinga attended they did not speak on politics.
