The Building bridges initiative Secretariat Co-chair Junet Mohammed announced the way forward concerning report.

He began by thanking the Members of County Assemblies for overwhelmingly endorsing the Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill, 2020 (BBI).

“The MCAs have sealed their spot on the right side of history for endorsing a process that seeks to take this country to greater heights. We also thank them for listening to the voice of the people and for putting Wanjiku first in their deliberation and consideration of the Constitutional Amendment Bill, 2020,” Junet Mohammed said.

Nationalwide BBI public campaigns are expected to be start in March will the Politicians expected to move around the country to popularize the Bill.

“The BBI was born of an effort to promote inclusivity and advance patriotism, whilst building a united Kenya. We are delighted that the BBI Bill has been embraced across every region of this country,” the state by the Secretariat read.

Junet Mohammed said that the ringing endorsement of the BBI witnessed across the counties is an indication that the people of Kenya have spoken emphatically and in one voice.
So far, 39 County Assemblies have overwhelmingly endorsed the bill, with 6 other counties expected to deliberate on the bill in the next few days.

He applauded them for listening to the Principals, President, HE Uhuru Kenyatta and Former prime Minister Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga and ignoring the lies and propaganda being peddled around the BBI process.

Devolution is the hallmark of the 2010 Constitution and the BBI seeks to strengthen it by allocating more resources to the counties to transform the lives of Kenyans.
