Even if he himself has not spoke about his political career, many political analysts and his allies have confirmed more than one’s that Raila Odinga will be on the ballot. The pressure from his side is causing discomfort in dp’s camp and if he was planning not to vie then he will have to by force. The difficult part on his side is finding a running mate who will ensure that they get maximum votes and therefore win the top coveted seat of presidency.

Joho is on his last term as Mombasa governor and will be seeking higher positions in the national government. He enjoys a good relationship with Baba for he has grown politically under Raila. The Maendeleo chapchap leader might consider working with Raila as he seeks to gain a large ground in national politics. Now that Kalonzo is no longer with Raila, Mutual can be taken to replace him and represent the Akamba.
The Kakamega governor has recently enjoyed a good political ground as his influence has spread for he is also the chair of council of governors. The ODM deputy party leader from western Kenya has been hosting delegates in what he called preparing for the next elections. he can also be Agwambo’s choice.
Anne Mumbi Waigiru is Kirinyaga’s governor who recently faced an impeachment motion but was rescued by the senate. She has been a close Allie to Raila and her support for the BBI gives her a high opportunity of being chosen by the ODM leader as his running mate.
There has been pressure in Mt Kenya with elders requesting the president to endorse a new king pin as his term is almost ending. A section of them wanted Kenneth while others opposed. Kenneth is close to Raila and have been in some occasions together and therefore can be chosen as Raila’s running mate.
He has stated and insisted that he will on the ballot and even his party has already endorsed him. Musalia lacked a chance in 2017 to vie as he supported Raila and wants to be backed up. However, his camp has recently been identified with Raila’s confidants and it is tipped that they discussed on how they will work together.
