Raila Makes A Huge Step In Mt Kenya That Sends Fear In Ruto’s Camp.

As the battle for supremacy keeps on moving, the different alleges horses are on their tracks finding the best lane to win them the race. The Mt Kenya region that consists of Gikuyu, Embu, Meru (GEMA) has turned out to be the most targeted region by expected presidential candidates. ODM leader Raila Odinga after hunting in Ruto’s turf has now set up a new system that will seek to restore his lost glory from previous experiences.

Through their official twitter party account, the Orange Democratic Party said that they have opened offices in Kirinyaga and now they mean business. Kirinyaga county is a jubilee stronghold and now ODM is trying o identify itself after for so many years failing to thrive in the region. In most cases they have dared not to endorse a candidate to vie for any political seat in the region.

One week ago, ODM deputy party leader who is also Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya hosted a delegation from West pilot that is Ruto’s turf. According to the council of governor chair, the party was seeking to restore it’s glory in the region and finding alignments for parties like KANU and Jubilee before and when the the general elections will be held. The move has now moved to the Mt Kenya region that since history,it is believed that ODM has nothing to be proud of in the region.

By opening offices in region, it means that ODM leaders will now be accessible and thus spike Raila’s bid. The move by the party comes at a time when the country enjoys peace after the two political rivals Uhuru and Raila agreed to join hands and work together for the unity of the nation.The Building Bridges Initiative holds the two together and bonded Raila with some Mt Kenya leaders like Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru.

Waiguru has been one of the supporters of the handshake and BBI and it was alleged that the good relationship he enjoys with Raila saves her from the impeachment motion by MCA’s. It was alleged that she met secretly with the former pm seeking to be rescued by senators supporting the two leaders and even Atwoli urged senators to save her for the sake of BBI. These has now enabled ODM set it’s office in the region.

Few weeks ago, it was reported that his excellency the president sent the region leaders to the Buganda Kingdom so that they learn how to work together and vote as a block. Raila’s move comes as a threat to Ruto who is also trying to seek support now that the president has remained silent on who he will support in the elections.
