The building bridges initiative report that was launched at the Bomas Kenya has attracted mixed reactions from Kenyans across the political divide.

Supporters of the former prime minister Raila Odinga still believe that report is okay and there is no need for any further amendments.

Whereas leaders siding with the deputy president Dr William Ruto strongly acknowledge that it is very Paramount for the BBI to further amend the report after collecting views from Kenyans.

Citizen TV held an interview held an interview with leaders from the Senate to hear their perspectives on the report and other current issues, the senators were Samson Cheragei (Nandi), Isaac Mwaura (Nominated senator) and Moses Kajwang (Migori).

Samson Cheragei asserted that as much as there was delayed release of results, there was patience among US citizens & candidates but the problem with Kenya is that we do not have faith in our own system, IEBC has become one of the graveyards of careers in this country.

Isaac Mwaura revealed that the BBI report that was circulated online is different from what was launched at Bomas of Kenya. “The report is very good but actual recommendations are missing. BBI report is needed by every Kenyan,” Mwaura remarked.

“Once the constitutional amendment bill is submitted to county assemblies, it cannot be amended. The first report that came out of bomas was a reflection of the views of the people, the one we are dealing with now is a more validated one,” Moses Kajwang Homa Bay Senator said.
