Prepare For Heavy Rainfall As From This Day; Fresh Details Emerges

Kenya Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rainfall in parts of the country. In a press release on Wednesday January 20, the department disclosed that several counties would receive heavy rainfall starting Friday.

The presser noted that counties in Central, parts of Western, Southeastern and Northeastern areas would receive heavy rainfall.

Parts of Rift Valley would also get substantial amounts of rainfall and strong winds. The southeastern and northeast winds would also be witnessed in these areas.

The rainfall is expected to continue on Saturday January 23 and coming to a slow on Sunday January 24.

Residents in counties such as Nyamira, Migori and Kisii are urged to be on the lookout for these strong winds.

The department warned that residents should make sure they remain in safe spaces during the weekend.
