Kenyans witnessed a heated political debate this week after the president Uhuru Kenyatta and the former prime minister Raila Odinga received the Building bridges initiative report.

The report which was launched at Gusii, was received with wide arms because it addresses various issues that have been affecting Kenyans since Independence.

Some of the issues that are going to solved by the BBI include gender equality, youth Empowerment and wrangles in the political arena witnessed in Kenya after every elections.

President Uhuru kenyatta broke silence on the building bridges initiative as he declared solidarity for the expected referendum.

During the Mashujaa day celebration Uhuru said that they are looking for a more inclusive government where no one will feel isolated.

Building bridges initiative launch attracted mixed reactions from various Kenyans as those opposed to it claimed that it is meant to create positions for a few leaders.

Narok ODM senator Ledama Ole Kina has already started opposing the Building bridges initiative claiming that it undermines the Senate.

“The fusion of the National Assembly with the Executive coupled with a weak Senate in the Proposed BBI is very dangerous for a young Democracy.

It will make it difficult to oversight on the executive hence an imperial presidency. This mustn’t be allowed,” Ledama Ole Kina asserted.

On the 24th of October Ledama breath fire as he said that BBI is very dangerous for a young democracy.
