Yesterday President Uhuru Kenyatta and the former prime minister Raila Odinga were expected to meet to commemorate three years after the handshake.
The meeting came at time when there heated tension within the two factions of the political divide with ODM suspecting foul from Uhuru government.
Raila Odinga did not meet the president after he was rushed to Nairobi hospital for check up.
ODM director of communication Dennis Onyango in an interview with a local newspaper said that the former prime minister will be isolated for 2 weeks.
The former prime minister developed a lot of fatique which, prompted his medical team to give him urgent medical attention.
This comes days after Raila’s coastal vist where he went to drum up support for the building bridges initiative report.
In what happens to give a new twist on why Uhuru did not meet Raila, sources who spoke to the standard news digital, stated that Raila was held up for the better part of the day at his Capitol Hill office and retreated to his Karen residence at around 5pm.
On the other hand Head of State had a full diary and held meetings with His Excellency Charles Michel, President of the European Council and later chaired a virtual meeting of the African Union Peace and Security Council on climate change.
The meeting between the two leaders was meant to replace the super seven leaders team consultative discussion.
