Nairobi Acting Governor To Be Arrested And Jailed For 6 Months! Legislator Reacts

Following the sworn in of Nairobi County Assembly speaker Benson Mutura as Nairobi acting Governor, details has emerged against him. This comes after the ouster of Nairobi governor Mike Sonko over gross misconduct, abusive of office, failure to sign contract’s budget among other allegations.

The ultimate impeachment move was succeeded by the senate that Mike Sonko Condemned to have been driven by political forces. According to Sonko, the senate’s speaker Ken Lusaka received orders from above and was just fulfilling the law. Some legislators like Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen tend to curtail the impeachment against Sonko but the move tend to be overwhelmed.

 

However, Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has Outbursts, leaking details regarding the imprisonment of Nairobi speaker Benson Mutura for violation of the law. According to legislator Ole Kina, the speaker takes oath to defend the Constitution and then violates the court order. This emerges following his action as the acting Nairobi Governor to sign warrants paving way to release of Sh 37.5 billion budget that was on hold since October.

According to legislator Ledama Ole Kina, the speaker who’s the current acting Nairobi Governor should be cited for contempt and jailed for six months to teach him a lesson.
