It’s now two years before the next general elections are held but the grounds are already on fire.Top politicians are all seeking for supremacy and have begun identifying the paths that will yield fruits. It was speculated that Ruto might end up working with ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi after he (Mudavadi) has twice lost and got betrayed by those he supported.

Mudavadi said that he can only work with Ruto under one condition, if Ruto allows him vie for presidency and he(Ruto) supports him as the deputy.

After the popular handshake, Mudavadi broke the air that he will be on the ballot seeking for supremacy. He said that he will not support anyone this time round and wants to be supported.Musalia backed Raila in 2013 under Coalition Of Reformation and Democracy (CORD), as a premier principal and repeated in 2017 under National Super Alliance(NASA).
They lost both elections to Jubilee even after boycotting the elections that were to be repeated.

Another Mulembe nation kingpin, Moses Masika Wetangula also stated that he will vie for presidency mixing up the region on who is who between the two.Wetangula’s ship was on the verge of sinking as an attempted coup failed in his Ford Kenya party and had been hinted to extend to ANC.

The region has been divided with one team backing Raila I.e Atwoli, Oparanya and their companion’s, the other Ruto I.e Waluke, Didmus Barasa,Khalwale and others while the remaining Musalia and Weta.
Kimilili mp Didmus Barasa hinted on the possibilities of the two working together.Being regional kingpins, they both have influence and can combine votes to be in state house.

According to Barasa, Ruto has already been in government and therefore has a starting point finishing what he and Uhuru started. He also said that Ruto has been a deputy for president Kenyatta for two terms and therefore cannot agree to be a running mate the third time.
Ruto wants Musalia to support his bid as his deputy but according to Musalia, it’s either Ruto backs him if he wants a coalition or he will find them in statehouse.
