Mourinho Blames Liverpool over Kane’s Injury

Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho pointed fingers after his talisman striker Harry Kane went down with an injury. According to Mirror Football on Thursday January 28, the boss blamed Liverpool players of heavy tackles.
Jose Mourinho singles out Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara for his ‘bad tackle’on Harry Kane in the first half. Mourinho claimed that a series of those tackles sent Kane out of the game.
The Tottenham Hotspur striker was on the ground several times and did not return for the second half. Mourinho disclosed that the striker had picked up an ankle injury.
Harry Kane was replaced by Erik Lamela in the second half with Tottenham Hotspur finally losing to Liverpool 3-1.
Mourinho noted that Harry Kane was one of his most important players and his injury would cost him dearly.
He also said that the injury would take a few weeks to heal but would still be a big blow to the team. Harry Kane had earlier provided an assist for Son to score but the goal was disallowed by Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
The boss reported that defensive mistakes cost his team dearly and that they deserved to lose.
