Matiang’i’s Historic Deal With America That Will Boost Kenyans

The Interior security cabinet secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i held a meeting on July 9th with the American embassy to deliberate on free trade agreement between Kenya and the United States of America.

“This Agreement will be the first between the USA and a Sub-Saharan Africa country, and will offer a unique opportunity to spur economic growth in Kenya. We project to complete the negotiations process within the next 12 months,” Dr Fred Matiang’i remarked.


He said that the treaty between the two countries is likely to stir up economic growth within the country and and it will enable president Uhuru Kenyatta to advance his economic transformation agenda amongst Kenyans.
Matiang’i on behave of president Uhuru Kenyatta launched negotiations that will culminate in a Free Trade Agreement between Kenya and the United States of America.
“This afternoon, my colleague CS @maina_betty, @USAmbKenya Kyle McCarter, and I formally launched negotiations that will culminate in a Free Trade Agreement between Kenya and the United States of America as part of H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta’s economic transformative agenda,” Matiang’i asserted.
Free trade agreement will create a single mkt, deepen continental economic integration, establish a liberalised mkt via multiple negotiations rounds & aid the mov’t of capital & pple, facilitating investment as we move towards establishment of a future continental customs union
“The western countries always use the divide and rule methods. So Kenya’s focus will move from Free Trade among African countries, & to US. Let Africa trade within,” Oriri asserted.
