Dr Fred Matiang’i met western region leaders who are allied to President Uhuru and Raila’s handshake team on the 18th of June to discuss on the development projects.
Interior security cabinet secretary had a meeting with Busia governor Sospeter Ojamong and the council of governors chair Kakamega governor Wycliff Oparanya who are both allied to the former prime minister Raila Odinga.
The meeting excluded Ruto allied leaders such as Kimilili MP Dismus Baraza, Musalia Mudavadi , Chris Wamalwa and Moses Wentangula.
However leaders who met Matiang’i did not speak about the 2022 presidential elections and handshake but spent much of their time speaking about the development.
Matiang’i said, “We are employed by the people of Kenya to get this work done; we cannot lie around pretending and wasting public resources.”
He urged his colleagues in the infrastructure sector, not to frustrate the work that ministers and PS’ are doing day by day.
On the other side William Ruto said, “resented an assortment of items that included car washing machines, motor cycles, water tanks and animal feed to 30 youth and women groups from Dagoreti South, Embakasi North and Embakasi West Constituencies in Karen, Nairobi County.”
