Tanzania President John Pombe Magufuli had some harsh words for his citizens on Wednesday. According to reports by the East African on Wednesday January 27, the president warned against the Covid19 vaccine.

Magufuli disclosed that he was aware some Tanzanians were leaving the country to go and get vaccinated against the virus. He claimed that the vaccine was adding dangerous viruses into their bodies.

“You should stand firm. Vaccinations are dangerous. If the white man was able to come up with vaccinations, he should have found a vaccination for Aids by now; he would have found a vaccination of tuberculosis by now,” he was quoted as saying.

The president, speaking at the launch of a public forest in Chato, Grits region, noted that Tanzanians must be cautious of things that are brought to them by foreign nations.

He stated that only certified Tanzanian experts were allowed to give the go ahead when a vaccine was brought to them.

Magufuli said that Tanzanians should trust God for he had kept them alive since the pandemic hit in early 2020. He advised that Tanzanians should be precautious.

The president noted that he would never lock down the country as his citizens depended on activities such as farming which needed them to be up and about.

Tanzania is the only East African nation that continued life normally even after the pandemic hit African countries.
