The former prime Minister Raila Odinga had surprised many people when he made the initial stand concerning the division of revenue.
Opposition chief attracted sharp criticism from many Kenyans who hail from the marginalized communities as the bill was meant to favour the more developed and populated counties.
However, Raila Odinga’s change of mind has landed him in hot soup as leaders from the vast Mount Kenya region as they cited that he is their enemy and s hindrance to progress.
When Raila announced that he had Changed mind concerning the division of revenue Kiharu Mp Ndindi Nyoro came out guns blazing against the opposition leader and said that he doesn’t mean any good for the leaders.
However, according to report by the People Daily Newspaper Raila decided to shift gear on the division of revenue after he held a close door meeting with leader from the coastal region.
The meeting was organized by Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho and brought together leaders from various coastal counties such as Kilifi, Lamu, Taita Taveta, Mombasa and Kwale.
During the meeting Raila was informed about the changes that were made to CRA division of revenue formulae.
He said since he went to Dubai he wasn’t well briefed by the leaders concerning the new changes and he had stuck with the initial formulae.
