The English Premier League alongside other leagues in Europe are almost coming to the end of 2020/2021 season. After the season ends, various clubs will start preparing for the next season.

The major preparation entails reinforcing the squad by either buying new players or offloading existing players. As per now, there are already transfer updates going round. Some of them are as follows.

According to BBC Sport, Manchester City are keen to outbid Manchester United and Chelsea for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane. The 27-year old England captain insists that Tottenham cannot stop him from leaving.

Due to Harry Kane’s desire to leave, Gareth Bale who is at Tottenham on loan from Real Madrid, is considering extending his loan spell with the London club by a further year. On the other hand, Tottenham players are said to be shocked by Harry Kane’s decision to go public about his urge to leave.

As reported by BBC Sport, Manchester United are on the verge of re-signing England and Aston Villa goalkeeper Tom Heaton on a free transfer. The 35-year old could join the Red Devils to replace Sergio Romero who is set to leave the club at the end of the season.

Leicester City captain Wes Morgan is set to retire at the end of the season after nine years at the club. He won his last trophy with the club on 15 May 2021 when the Foxes beat Chelsea 1-0 in the FA Cup finals. He played a few minutes of the game making it his first game since December 2020.

Former Chelsea player and manager Frank Lampard has pulled out of the race to succeed Roy Hodgson as Crystal Palace manager according to BBC Sport. Roy Hodgson will retire as manager at the end of the season.
