The president made a surprise announcement that he could be attending the Jubilee parliamentary group meeting at KICC late last night.
It was clear that Garrissa Town MP Aden Duale could not survive the Jubilee fumigation by the president, this is after Jubilee vice chairman Murathe remarked that the president could not spare a person that had been rejected by majority of the leaders.
Amos Kimunya, National assembly Majority Leader said, “We had a very cordial meeting that ended with, “See you at the cafeteria” Going forward, we would want to see the Jubilee Fraternity working together in harmony. The agenda of the day did not have room for discussion”
The new majority leader in the National Assembly said that he is looking forward for a more united Jubilee party despite of Duale’s removal from the party leadership.
Citizen the tweeted, “Amos Kimunya, National Assembly Majority Leader: The outcome of the meeting was change in party leadership. I do not take this appointment lightly; it is an honour. I appreciate the dedicated service Hon. Duale has rendered to this country, I know his commitment.”
