Kenya Records 685 New Covid-19 Positive Cases As CS Kagwe Warns Political Leaders

Today Kenya  has recorded 685 new covid-19 positive cases across the country. This comes after a sample test of 4,912 were taken for the last 24 hours across the country. The cases shoots to 44, 881 total positive cases Countrywide.

Out of 685 positive cases, 635 are Kenyans while 50 are foreigners. In positive cases found, 456 are male while 229 are female with youngest of 1 year old and oldest of 99 years old.

Nakuru county tagged for recording higher cases followed by Nairobi and Mombasa county.

While giving out his daily briefing on covid-19 pandemic, the CS of health Mutahi Kagwe warned Political leaders and other leader to critically observe covid-19 containment measures when holding gatherings.

Mutahi Kagwe further claimed that it will be a song to citizens if leadership is not leading by example. Kagwe affirmed that leaders should take role model over observing covid-19 containment measures.

Fortunately, 105 individuals recovered to covid-19, where 73 were from home based care Program and 32 were discharged from various medical care facilities leading to total number of recoveries to 31, 857.

Unfortunately, 7 succumbed to the disease leading to 832 total fatalities across the country. CS Mutahi Kagwe stated that higher cases were recorded in prison and other insultations.

CS Kagwe stated that ICU cases had stated to slightly going high where by he tagged Isiolo for recording high ICU cases.

According to Kagwe, 28 individuals are in Intensive care unit. He earned citizens to observe covid-19 containment measures more especially when children have returned to school.
