Ex Citizen TV news anchor Jacque Maribe has expressed interest in joining politics. Through an online interview with DJ Mista Dru, Maribe disclosed that she has been receiving messages from her fans and close allies urging her to run for a political seat in the next coming election.
Maribe said given opportunity, she would not hesitate to run for a political seat in the upcoming general election.
“It is an opportunity. Given the opportunity, why not? I have not ruled it out but what I’m saying is, I have not declared it. I’m receiving a lot of messages with people asking if I will run. The proper response from me is, ‘See you at the finish line!’” she expressed.
It is believed that Maribe may resort to vie for a woman representative seat in Muranga county, a move that may unseat the current woman representative Sabina Chege who is a also a close friend and die hard supporter of Deputy President Dr. William Ruto.
Sources indicate that Chege might opt to run for gubernatorial seat as the current County Governor, Mwangi wa Iria is serving his second and final term in the office.
