We all have experienced love at some point in our lives. But what is love? How does it feel? What does it mean to love someone? Love is undefinable. Real love is not just a feeling, it is a choice, it’s an action, a manifestation of emotion, and a moment of faith where we decide to be with someone and stick by them no matter what happens. Love is best when it comes from the mind and not the heart because feelings are fleeting, and they tend to cloud judgment.
When you love someone, you care for them and you’re ready to give your all for their sake. Real love evokes a need for protection, nurture, and sacrifice. It does not ask for proof neither does it posses, and it’s more liberating rather than binding. Love doesn’t hurt you. A person that does not know how to love hurts you.
Real love is complicated and messy. It’s more of decisions, actions, thoughts, and emotions all put together, and constantly learning who our our better half is and how they can fit into our problematic lives. Love is like a challenge. It’s what makes us meet that person who will forever be part of our lives and motivate us to be bigger and greater. It’s the thought of forever.
Love is a gamble that comes with its faults, fears, failures, and confusions. It’s a learning process that helps us grow and be wise. When love is real, it doesn’t lie, cheat, pretend, hurt, or make us feel unwanted. It’s a cure to all of our worries. Just like some traits will make one get another, so is the case with love. It can be cultivated and nurtured from anywhere, with anyone, as long as you make a conscious choice to love them without changing who they are. So, choose to love and be happy!
