H.E. President (Rtd) Uhuru Kenyatta, the 4th President of the Republic of Kenya, who has not been very present in the public sphere, has arrived in Kampala to join fellow leaders, government officials, and dignitaries for the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony of H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.<\/a><\/p>\n

President Museveni was re-elected during Uganda\u2019s General Elections held on 15th January 2026. The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to take place tomorrow, 12th May 2026, in Kampala, marking the beginning of another term for the long-serving Ugandan leader.<\/a><\/p>\n

Upon arrival, Kenyatta was warmly received by Uganda\u2019s Ambassador Katureebe Tayebwa alongside Kenya\u2019s Ambassador Kipkosgei Toroitich. His presence underscores the strong diplomatic ties between Kenya and Uganda, as well as the tradition of regional solidarity during significant national milestones.<\/a><\/p>\n

The inauguration is expected to draw a wide array of regional and international leaders, reflecting Uganda\u2019s continued role in East African affairs. Analysts note that Kenyatta\u2019s attendance highlights his ongoing influence in regional diplomacy even after leaving office, reinforcing Kenya\u2019s commitment to fostering cooperation and stability across the region.<\/p>\n

As preparations intensify in Kampala, the ceremony is anticipated to be a moment of celebration and reaffirmation of Uganda\u2019s political trajectory under President Museveni\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n
