Shock and grief have engulfed Nyamira County following the sudden death of a beloved teacher, Wesley Monda, who perished in a tragic road accident on Monday morning at Kemera while heading to school for opening day.<\/p>\n

Monda, remembered for his calm demeanor and unwavering dedication, was struck by a PSV van, with images from the scene showing a shattered headlight \u2014 evidence of the fatal impact. Police are yet to release full details as investigations continue.<\/p>\n

The young educator began his teaching career at Emanga DEB Primary School before moving to Ikonge SDA Primary School, and later Ikonge Secondary School. Colleagues and the wider teaching fraternity have described his death as a devastating blow, noting he was a promising teacher whose life was cut short.<\/p>\n

Beyond teaching, Monda was a creative artist who designed signage for corporate clients, leaving behind a legacy that extended beyond the classroom.<\/p>\n

Tributes have poured in on social media from former students, colleagues, and friends. One of his students, Alex Otwori, recalled: \u201cMr used to call me conductor in class every time we met, even on the road. I will really miss you. Forever in my heart.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Another mourner, Kerubo Elizabeth, expressed sorrow over the loss of a colleague\u2019s husband, while Eric Otwori lamented: \u201cRest easy, a very young man, smart brains taken awkwardly. Ooh nooo.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
